Cannabis plants possess a natural capability to extract and store heavy metals from the soil, serving as a valuable resource for purifying polluted locations. However, this capacity to assimilate toxic metals may introduce potential risks for individuals who consume cannabis.
The Science
After digesting the sample material with strong acids, we use ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) to detect any trace of heavy metals.
We test for the following Heavy Metals:
- Lead
- Arsenic
- Mercury
- Cadmium
